My son Logan is 2 years 8 months old. He is not talking. He only

yesterday said his first word, actually it was a thre word phrase

that i had just spoken to him.

Logan is a US citizen, but has been raised in Mexico until recently.

He is now in the US with me, his father. His testing in Mexico

revealed nothing but questions. His hearing is fine. He has had

Doctors in the US as well who did not pay any attention to him

missing his milestones.

He had a Doctor appointment last week and they (finally) suspect

Autizm and set him up with an evaluation.

My health insurance from work in a pretty lousey HMO and i don't

have a lot of hope with them.

Here's the issue. I don't think I can wait for another Doctor to run

me around for an extended time at his expense. I think I need to

start going forward on my own while I try to get help from my

insurance and figure out where I am with Logan and the Doctor.

Logan is 40 pounds, 37 inches tall. He does fit many of the signs of

Autizm but many others he doesn't.

Logan likes to spin circles. He likes to spin balls and things as

well. He leans his head back and looks fown his nose to see, or

turns his head far to one side and looks out of the corner of his

eyes while making faces, almost as though he can see himself in a

mirror and he is checking himself out.

He has nervous ticks. He pokes his eyes and belly button. He

masagues his eyebrows and will grab at the eyes of others if he gets

close to them. If he does happen to get someone's eyes, he will

touch them for an instant then briskly rub their eyebrows.

On the other hand he is very adoring with him Mom and I and likes to

be held. He is easy going and doesn't throw fits much and when he

does it seems more the result of a two year old that of an Autistic

child.

He hasn't liked eye contact, but recently, in the past 6 or 7 weeks

since he has been in the US, he maintains good eye contact.

He likes to be tickled. He likes to climb but also gets nervous when

he gets too high. He plays with a variety of toys and has his

favorites but is not obsessed with any.

Last week before going to the Doctor, he got a clay bath. It was

only a few days later that he spoke his first few words. This

experience left me to believe that there is much more out there than

what Doctors will do for him.

I have been an on-line junkie since then, researching everything

that offers help. I am researching vitamins, diet, therapy and

anything else that I can.

I have heard that enzymes can help, Particularily those from Houston

Naturals(?), of these, Zyme, No fenol and AFP pep are recommended.

Has anyone used this product and if so, what is your feedback?

I am very novis in this area, so please forgive me. Does anyone have

any experience with Folic acid, Chlorella and other fresh water

alge, grape seed extract, L-tryptophan, natural vitamin A (what form

or product) and Urochline (or perhaps Urecholine)in a combination,

Zinc, Secretin therapy, DHA (w/Va?), Calcium and magnisium, DMG or

DHA in any successful combination?

I know this is a compound question and probably sounds crazy to

other people, but I feel that i can't wait for Doctors who are not

nearly as motivated as I am to solve the probem.

Does anyone out there have any light to shed on this perspective?

I will probably start with continued Medical research and info from

my Doctor while I look at diet and enzymes and help from any source

I can track down.

This is my first posting ever for any reason, so if I am out of

protocol or simply seem crazy, forgive me. I am just crazy about my

son and I am looking to help him however i can.

Thank you
