Guest guest
He Everyone, I wanted to thank all of your for responding so quickly - on this discussion board and personally to my email. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. I would say I had 50-50 in mixed responses. Some say yes, it is possible and others say no, they need the diet. All your responses really made me realize how different all of our children really are. I mean, I've always known it but it really hit home this time. We started bio-med a year and a half ago and it has been a huge roller coaster ride for our whole family. Along the way I came across NAET, then a few months later I researched chelation, then supplements and diet, therapies, schools, enzymes, hbot, the list goes on and on. Our daughter is a tough nut to crack but we are making slow but very much appreciated progress with her. I reasearch everything we try with her to the fullest before beginning. Some things have worked great and others not so great. Last year at this time she barely looked at us, could care less about the 100's of puzzles, games, toys, stuffed animals and tons of other things in our home. She didn't try to repeat words and screamed " doooooo-doooooooo " over and over again as she spun around in circles. But a year later, right now she is in her room banging on the bongos and shaking her tamborine trying her hardest to keep a note, she looks us dead in our eyes with love, she is repeating words, counting to 20, pointing, and playing appropriately 80% of the time. She still has a long way to recovery and we know that. But slow and steady wins the race, at least that's what my husband and I pray for. She is on her 7th round of td-dmsa and she is dumping Aluminum in the 4,000's (ref range <100), Lead, Antinomy, Tin, Nickel and Uranium in the Red. Since starting the Enzymes, we have definitely seen more improvements with her - stools are better, sleep is slowly improving and overall mood is better. We have decided to try the diet as much as possible but not kill ourselves over it right now. We tried to do so much this year and be the 'perfect parents' but it was just impossible and it caused alot of stress in our house this past year. It was just unfair to our 5yr. old NT daughter whom we didn't even realize was longing for more of our attention because we were giving most of it to our 3 yr. olds needs. We want to start 2007 with nothing but positivity and hope. That being said, we will try the diet as much as we can, keep giving the enzymes and give the LDN a shot. I will keep you all updated. Sorry, I wrote more than I intended to. I mainly wanted to give thanks to everyone for your responses - they helped us more than you know. I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year with lots of good health and happiness! Thanks,
