Guest guest
Hi All - My dd (12) w/ Aspergers & ADHD has been on the Candida diet – to the best of our ability – since the start of the new year, and taking Nystatin powder and tablets combined for at least 6 weeks, as well as rotated probiotics and antifungals, and we've seen no improvement whatsoever in her symptoms (drunk-like behavior, slurred speech, inability to focus, etc.). She doesn't have overt " physical " yeast symptoms, but a huge overgrowth was indicated by the OAT test last fall. I'm also concerned because I've read here and there that Nystatin over a long period of time can result in a huge flare-up once we take her off of it. I could go so many ways… should I try a new prescription, or do further testing to identify the species, or test for food allergies – possibly her symptoms are due to something other than yeast, or in addition to it… ideas? Suggestions? Help! Thanks!
