Primarily his constant visual stims. Measles virus takes up all the vitamin A in the body, and one of the most common symptoms is persistent visual stim issues, which my son had. I did high dose vitamin A protocol to eliminate it http://www.danasview.net/vitamina.htm As it turns out, other viruses, plus other issues entirely, were also causes of his visual stims. Measles virus was definitely one of the causes, but so were other things. Dana
Guest guest
That is interesting in light of our recent Virastop trial. I have suspected viral issues as well. So far after Virastop (and a few days of fever and lethargy) my son has been worse. Sensory problems increased, meltdowns are horrible, but the ONE benefit I have noticed is better eye contact - totally undeniable. Is this what you meant by 'visual stims'? So maybe we are getting somewhere with the viruses too. Any suggestions? > > Dana, Can I ask? > > How did you know that your son had a measles virus issue, and what > > did you use to treat it? > > > Primarily his constant visual stims. Guest guest
Dana asked, > Sounds promising. Have you increased your yeast protocol? Viral " die > off " tends to cause lots of yeast overgrowth. My son has been on Nystatin while we are doing the Virastop trial, but I am wondering if it is enough, or if we should try something else. He has been off the wall, giggling, lots of meltdowns, and tantrums, as well as bedwetting that had ceased(looks like others on enzymes may experience this.) Howevever, since Virastop he is STILL making eye contact, and improving in expressive communication. He also shows more concern to his siblings. I wonder if I should add some GSE. We are running out of Virastop today too, so I've got to get some more. I may try increasing his dosage to see what happens this week. Thanks for all the input, > > That is interesting in light of our recent Virastop trial. I have > > suspected viral issues as well. Nystatin is not effective against all strains of yeast, and for my son's yeast from Lauricidin, I have to give GSE, uva ursi, and garlic. So I would guess that the Nystatin is probably not effective against all the yeast that comes with Lauricidin and viral " die off " .
