Guest guest
Amber, he might have a serious sinus infection. Kids do this banging their heads on the wall thing when they are in intense pain. You can have a bacterial infection without a fever...I would take him to his doctor. Peace, Kathy E. On Mar 21, 2006, at 10:53 AM, kennetheriklucy wrote: > I stopped giving OLE on Saturday. Guest guest
Dear Amber, Obviously this child is sick and he has been so for a while. Does he have a fever? Dry lips can be a sign of dehydration and if he refuses to eat drink, it can be tonsillitis. He needs to be checked for viral and bacterial infection. Amber since he has steadily gotten worse with all the recommendation and suggestion from us in the group, I do recommend that you take him to a competent doctor. Also, I don't recommend this on regular basis but perhaps give him one dose of Motrin and see if he becomes happier and if so, you'd know that he is in pain. I remember in one of your earlier posts that you had said he was a happy child in his own world. Obviously he is getting sicker and all the suggestions you have been following here isn't actively helping him. Ask his DAN about anti viral treatment. I know that Dr. McCandles is using Valtrex (prescription drug) when the viral issues are bad and in 's case, he is getting worse and not better. That was the case for Keyon last summer. My normally happy child was miserable and we couldn't help him. Fortunately for us GFCF was a big step forward. My heart goes to you and him both. How is his BM, His sleep and his tummy? Did you ever do anything about Impactation? Was that at all an issue? When is the GI doctor's appointment? Guest guest
Hi Amber, I'm so sorry to hear of your little one's troubles. Can I ask why you removed the OLE? I posted a message here requesting information on virals about a month ago (msg 89085, dated Feb 13th). One of the questions I asked was How do you know if your child has virus issues? I received the following reply from Dana: 'I gave my kids OLE a few winters ago, to prevent colds and flu. When I tried to remove it, they severely regressed. This is how I knew they were virus kids. You can request a viral panel, I know Dr. McCandless recommends Immunosciences Lab.' Amber, what you are describing certainly sounds like a regression to me, could it be that he has viral issues and perhaps needs the OLE??? Regards, > > I stopped giving OLE on Saturday. This sounds like he has virus issues which the OLE was addressing. >>His OCD has never been worse. Guest guest
Dana, would you recommend putting the OLE back in? Amber.
