Guest guest
Hi Jen.so glad you joined this group.tons of info!! I found the stool lab for yeast/bacteria ($100-$200), the OAT ($200 Urine) and Peptide ( $100 I think.Urine) VERY helpful for everything we are doing. Everything that goes in him is based on these labs. I just ordered all the lab kits from Great Plains 2 weeks ago (free and free shipping) and Dr. DeVilliers signed all the paperwork. You do them at home, call Fed Ex, they pick up that day and then Great Plains will mail you and your Ped the results and an interpretation sheet. Once you get that, you can start to bounce the results off the group. On Connor's OAT lab the interpretation sheet gave recommendations of supplements and that was Dr. D's care plan to a T. I realized that after I started plotting his care plan. I will send you the link to order the free lab kits from GPs. Hugs, C Aaaah! Help--Where to begin? I've been eavesdropping on the group for a couple of weeks now and am feeling totally overwhelmed! I just don't know where to begin to help my son. We've had a hair analysis done, but nothing else. We were under the care of an ND for 9 months, but I didn't feel like there was a strong sense of where we were going and why we were doing certain things. I just started with a classical homeopath. I feel conflicted between wanting to try all kinds of things RIGHT NOW to find something that will help and being very systematic & slow in order to know what indeed is working. Obviously, funds are not limitless! ;-) So, I suppose my real question is, what tests should I run so I can begin to have an idea of what his needs are? My son is 28 months, diagnosed with motor & verbal apraxia and sensory integration issues. After all my research, I truly believe Ben's disabilities are due to prolonged lack of oxygen at birth. He had most of his vaccinations--but no chicken pox or MMR. We stopped after his 9 month shots. He's been in OT & speech since he was 13 months old. He's been on a probiotic for 9 months and we've tried DMG without any obvious changes. Thank you so much for any and all advice! Jen
