Guest guest
My son got back his test results, except for his metals test. Unfortunately, all of his tests (copies) were not sent to me, only the stool culture results. I did get Dr. Megson's " report " on what is going on. She said labs were OK overall. That blew me away. The stool culture showed he had high triglycerides. I already had figured out that he has trouble breaking down fats with the immense trouble with taking CLO that we have had. I have been giving taurine to help with fat absorption, anything else useful here? Then it showed 2 types of yeast, no bacteria. We knew the yeast and what we are using should work so that is good. However, secretory IgA was really low at 13. Reference range is 40- 204. What does this mean and how do I fix this? I am concerned about this. My son, by the way, hasn't been sick in almost a year!? So, no clostridia, pH was OK, nothing else abnormal on the comprehensive stool culture. For blood she had tested testicular function, vitamins, copper, thryroid, celiac disease, casein, zinc, MMR immunity (not immune to rubella BTW), CBC, comprehensive metabolic panel and lipid panel. She has noted nothing with any of this. I am calling Monday about the thyroid function as she has checked it, but not indicated whether it was normal, high or low even though there are boxes for this. We had an OAT done and peptides for gluten and casein, as well as uric acid. She didn't comment, except that gluten was negative. She said nothing abotu casein, but I would suspect since we saw big improvements with taking it away. What does negative gluten mean? So, no metals back and no viral tests were done. What is recommended for viral tests? Thanks for anyone's help. I am puzzled by some of this since I had expected some big gaps in nutrition and stuff would come back. If he has low IgA can't that mean malabsorption, but then his vitamins came back OK? I am confused! Thanks for any help! Laurie
