Guest guest
--Hi Dannielle, WOW! I don't have all the answers for you but i know a few things from experience. First: I'm glad you got away from old Rheumy. I have both fibro and PA. It is possible you have both which really confuses some Docs who want it to be one or the other. My fibro does tend to ache all over more than the PA but there are people on the board who describe an achiness all over from PA. My PA usually manifests itself in a single joint being swollen except for the back which doesn't swell. Have you had trouble with hand and feet swelling or even hip, knee, shoulder pain? These might be clues that old Rheumies favorite diagnosis was correct in your case. Both PA and Fibro are seen in people with psoriasis. People who just have fibro don't show elevated sed rates, PA usually does, unless the medicine is controlling it. Were the hives from the Doxicyline? Good to get off it if they were. Now that I thoroughly confused you and made the situation about as clear as mud I'll wish you all the best and hope you and your new Rheumie can get it figured out. Guest guest
Hello, I was told to start my son on GABA and Taurine. GABA 3-5 grams taurine 6-10 grams Starting with the lowest dose I still need to give him a lot of capsules in a day. We are a bit confused by what to do. Also I will need to break the capsules and sprinkle the powder into a milkshake since this will be my only option of any success in my son taking the enzymes. His diet is so poor he is 10, we do homeopathy and have seen great results but his nutritional issuses are still a big problem. Thanks Trina Hamer
Guest guest
Sharon, try adding inulin, undenatured whey and selenium to your diet. The whey and selenium produce your master antioxidant and detoxifier to reduce toxin load, and also discourage pathogen adhesion in the bowel, and the inulin helps to restore bowel ecology by feeding your probiotic organisms. I think you should probably use much more fiber in your diet as well. One of medicare or medicaid will cover the undenatured whey given by feeding tube if the Dr. prescribes it (Immunocal) for protein, and the other will cover it for oral use.
