Guest guest
I just don't want to give my boys something that is going to increase female hormones in their body . . . Am I making more out of this? Hi My understanding is that you're certainly NOT making too much of the estrogen thing. Thought I'd share some advice I received when making enquiries about my son's test results which mentions estrogen. My understanding is that its preferable to avoid estrogen-containing or estrogen-promoting supplements like the plague ESPECIALLY if you know the child has high copper and/or low zinc. Good luck :-) " The high copper/zinc ratio (here: 1.52) is what Dr Walsh finds in all autistics. Based on his immense experience, he thinks autism is a standstill of brain growth, and one has to get the brain growing again. For its growth, the brain must make progesterone which is a hormone. This can be stimulated by massaging your son, and by any kind of brain stimulation such as practicing to speak, to sing, rhythmic movements, swimming, etc. The 1.52 ratio shows there is " estrogen dominance " , a term coined by the late Dr. Lee. This means that there is much estrogen and no progesterone. The same may occur in a woman on the pill - she may also go into estrogen dominance and remain locked into it. The late Carl Pfeiffer MD explained it: " The body has a memory for estrogen. " (He tested this in young women where serum copper, when on the pill, may go up over 500 mcg/dl. In pregnancy, the value is around 220. Normal value is below 120 mcg/dl.) The job is then to get out of the estrogen dominance and to re-establish a normal ratio of the hormones which will automatically translate into a normal copper-to-zinc ratio + brain growth. Copper can be reduced using molybdenum which you can find in baked beans. It can also be removed via zinc loading later followed by amino acids to stimulate the production of metallothionein. I think that eating selenium in the form of Brazil nuts will also help, but *very* slowly. " _____
Guest guest
Thanks ! I have read Lee's book...what your doctor may not tell you about premenapause! Great book! He credits that imbalance to many health issues. I have a friend who sells natural hormone cream and she tells me all the time about people getting better health with it. Her group also has about 27 women who had been infetile who now have babies. I am just not comfortable messing with hormones and am so glad someone understands me!!!!
