Guest guest
Hi List mates, I started to give my son Zyme Prime last Monday after his first set of blood draw. He has developed severe eczema from the Zyme Prime. He has hives, swollen arms and hot spots over his body. He skin was cleared before the Zyme Prime. I heard many parents said enzyme is good for their kids hardly heard any negative responding in the group. We're very worry and sad. If he can't take enzyme, what other supplements can he take, you know. Please advise. Does anyone have similar experience? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance for your help. Guest guest
Eva, Suggest stopping the enzymes for now. While some adjustment reactions can happen, including some small localized rash, what you are describing is not a commonly reported reaction, and could be an allergic reaction. Actually, enzymes can help clear up eczema in many cases. Does your son have any known allergies...or bad yeast problems, or mold sensitivites that you know of? Rice allergies, perhaps? This may be disappointing, but there may be other options for enzymes that your son is able to have. Pancreatic ones, or maybe ones from a different source species. But please write back on the questions before seeing if these other routes are needed. Also, how has he done on probiotics in the past??? . > I started to give my son Zyme Prime last Monday after his first set of blood draw. He has developed severe eczema from the Zyme Prime. If this is the chewable, you can try the capsules or powder and see if maybe the reaction was caused by the flavors or other ingredients in the chewable. If this was the original version with papain/bromelain, try the SCD version without, see if he is reacting to the papain/bromelain. But yes, it does sound like a rather nasty reaction to the ZP.
