Guest guest
- I was reading on enzymesstuff specifically about serotonin and amino acids. Below is the section I'm referring too: " If amino acids are not digested readily, they convert to toxins in the gut... where a couple of them become phenols. This conversion to toxin/phenolic compounds may contribute to the phenol sensitivity condition that some people see with increased protein digestion. It could be that by taking enzymes to digest the meats, the production of toxins and more phenolic compounds will be reduced because the amino acids will be absorbed much sooner by the gut before they are converted to toxins. " My son currently takes a custom blend amino acid supplement by Metabolic Maintenance on a daily basis along w/a capsule of methionine. In order to further breakdown that supplement for digestion purposes, would you know if there would be any benefit in my son taking No-Phenol at the same time? I maybe confusing this with digestive enzymes only working on food vs. supplements. I appreciate your time and reply. Thank you.
