New to enzymes - constant hands in the mouth

We recently started my son (4 1/2 SID, Apraxia) on HNI Enzymes (Peptizyde and

Zyme Prime about 18 days ago along with the GFCF diet. We are also doing Epsom

salt baths 2x/week, super nuthera vitamins and promidophilus daily. I recently

started No Fenol 3 days ago because of circles under the eyes and red

cheeks/ears.

We have seen some postivies (below), but have also noticed a dramatic increase

in oral fixation. His fingers/hands are CONSTANTLY in his mouth - sometimes

both at once! Either that or he will shove the corner of his blanket or pillow

in his mouth. Something is always there. Now I know he has many sensory

issues, but this seems to have increased with the introduciton of the regimen

above. Anyone have any ideas? We are awaiting results of the yeast/metals

tests that were done a few weeks ago.

Some of the positive changes:

- a slight improvement with speech/language initially, but nothing to go crazy

about.

- doing a better job responding to instructions

- able to use some his PECS more consistently

- no longer " stimming " by looking at his right fist

How long does it usually take to see changes? I had read that if there were

intolerances changes would be immediate once the " offender " is removed.

Thanks so much for your help! 's book and this list have been incredibly

helpful to me and my family!
