Guest guest
Hello, I am Mom of 4 boys, 3 of them have been diagnosed with Autism, PDD, ADD and Speech Delays. The oldest is 18yrs and the youngest is 5yrs. I have read Enzymes for Autism and have ordered the next book. I have read some posts on this website when I get time but that just confuses me more. I am ready to start giving my children enzymes. I'm probably going to go with Peptizyde and Zyme Prime the chewable versions. Can these both be given at the same time? Do I start with 1 tablet per meal first, then build up to 3? Are there any other enzyme combinations that work better? I'm sure its just a matter of indivdiual preference but by sharing with me your own favorites, this may save me a lot of time and money through trial and error. Should I give a probiotic? Not quite sure what this helps with. How do I know if my children have a yeast problem? If they do how do I resolve the problem. I don't really have a specific goal as to what area I'm looking for improvements in. I'll be happy with any. Maybe improve social skills, speech. Two of my children have just had 10 days of antibiotics for strep throat. My 5 and 7 year old still wear diapers at bedtimes, they both get diaper rash now and again. Is this a yeast problem? Can our regular Dr. do a urine test prior to starting enzymes to see what their deficient in? Is there any thing else I should get them tested for? How does one test for a yeast problem? I would appreciate any and all suggestions any of you have to share. If my questions have all ready been asked and answered could you please point me in the right direction to locate them. Thank you. Guest guest
Hello, You have many questions. Here is what I think. Enzymes are not hurtfull even when they are already being produces by the body so go ahead and try the ones you have on hand. If your children react horrid to them the first day- it is a good thing.( they are not making them ) ( do it on a day you can spend time with them... this may be the first day they spend in the real world - enzymes function as a helper to not let food particals into the blood stream- some think these food particial act as opiates in our kids body making them high. Here is what my favorite paper has to say http://puterakembara.org/rm/Dr_Jepson.pdf Read the leaky gut section. This paper was one that helped me get started. You asked about testing they are many to choose and each of your children will be different. It seems the reg doctor office test do not pick up on many issuses. I will leave you with several other web pages about what kinds of tests and the special labs to run them your doctor can order these. I always get copies of every test. http://www.greatplainslaboratory.com/food-allergy.html#IgE http://www.gdx.net/home/assessments/finddisease/autism/ http://www.autismwebsite.com/ari/index.htm My 2 cents Ann

Definitely consider yeast as a possibility. >>My 5 and 7 year old still wear diapers at bedtimes, they > both get diaper rash now and again. Is this a yeast problem? It can be. Some regular doctors are cooperative about this, others aren't. > Is there any thing else I should get them tested for? How does one > test for a yeast problem?
