Oh wow! What a situation!

First, I am so glad you found a church and he can go through confirmation. You might talk to the confirmation teacher about what happened - not about your ds's comment but that the other boys were reading stuff online and talking about the girl like they were. It might make for a really good discussion as far as what we read online and gossiping about people, etc.

I'm so glad your friend was understanding. I am sure the girl did not feel very happy with him saying that and she reacted like most kids would, I'm sure!

Well we found a church that invited my son into their confirmation class....it is not overwhelming and they are very gracious and kind. The pastor's daughter who lives in another county works with AS kids and he told the Confirmation Teacher that she could call her if she had any questions....We went last week and again today. My son told his therapist that we are "making him go"...which is true...but I think he kind of likes it because he has not put up much of a fight about going. So, here I am thinking this is great....he follows the other kids around...they don't seem to be teasing him....I let him go...wow! And, today my good friend who introduced me to the church is there with her husband and daughter (15). My son has known their daughter since he was born....After we left and were in the car...I said...so are you talking with the kids...and he said yes...but that my girlfriend's daughter © told him "I hate you ...don't talk to me". Hmmmm? That seemed odd to me....she was always nice. I figured I would call my girlfriend and find out what went on.Well, she beat me to the punch. She called me a little bit after we got home and told me that my son asked her daughter (in front of all the kids)...if she was still a virgin? OMG! I apologized and apologized and was mortified. What on earth???? I explained that he had been with our neighbor boy who was 17 and probably was getting things like that from him. I said I would call back after I spoke to my son. Well, my son said the older boys were talking about her ...I guess there was something on the internet about her (lies) and his friend has texted her brother. Well, DAvid wanted to confirm the truth and that was why he asked her....OMG...talk about lack of social skills...or know the hidden agenda and rules....my son just didn't get it. He told us he only asked because he wanted to set the story right and protect her. The good thing is that my friend is Understanding and she explained to her daughter about my son and how he doesn't get thing and that she should have pulled him aside and explain how inappropriate that was....that she should not have said "I hate you"....We talk with our son and will have our TSS and Mobile Therapist work with him on this. Maybe it was a good thing...at least it happened with a very understanding Family who realized this stuff happens...and are going thru a lot of problems with girls being cruel to their daughter...It is a tough world and I pray that I can prepare my son for it....Jan

The boys that were talking about my girlfriend's daughter are our neighbors and don't go to the church. But, it would be a good idea to talk about ...gossip, hurting other people's feelings, etc. My son told me...I was only trying to protect her mom....he wanted to go back to his friend and say...Those are Lies because she told me she is a virgin. How innocent...and actually kind...and it came out all wrong! And, that is what happens to my son all the time.

But, yes, I am lucky to have such a kind caring friend who understands. She even told her daughter that she should not have told my son that she hated him and that he was annoying. My son can be so Annoying.

This church is nice. And, they have a youth group and they are going to spend a day at this condo and go sleigh riding, play some games, eat lunch, go ice skating, rest and eat dinner and come home. I am going to send him and pray all goes well. I think I may give the leader a sheet on my son so she has a better understand of him.

Thanks Roxanna...
