I agree. I'd make sure they knew, too.

I would hope that over the years, over discussions of the ways they were,,,,and why,,,,etc,,,,,that it would come up that it was genetic (mostly) and that like anything else genetic, it would be a big possibility.

Yes, I would warn my kids if there was a possibility that they might have a child with severe autism. I would warn anyone if they had an increased risk of having a child with severe autism. How could you not?

Knowing that our kids have the genes for autism spectrum and related disorders, what would any of you tell them about the possibility of having a child with severe autism?
