Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone can advise me on the eval. I know toe walking is asd? but having the mild cerebral palsy it could easily be from that also. My son wears braces to try to straighten his legs, feet and hips into the right position. What I am wondering is should he wear his braces and derotation strap to the eval? I know they are aware of the cp but Im not sure what to about that. Guest guest
If he usually wears the braces, then he should wear them. If not, take them along in case they want to see them. You can often ask them when making the appointment what they prefer. RoxannaYou're UniqueJust like everyone else... ( ) Question on upcoming eval. I was wondering if anyone can advise me on the eval. The main thing you need to worry about is supplying comprehensive background information when they ask. Make sure you have all his school records and previous evaluations and anything else that might be helpful. I took in correspondence with teachers and school administrators to show the type of issues we were getting at school. If they haven't asked you for anything, I would call and ask if there is any paperwork you can do ahead of time. It often takes a lot longer than they think, and it is better to do it at home with all your resources at your fingertips, if they'll let you. Guest guest
I don't think toe walking always means kids have Aspergers, I know of three people that walked on their toes and they don't have Aspergers. pj From: mary <mary_flacy2002@...> Sent: Wednesday, January 28, 2009 9:26:03 PMSubject: ( ) Question on upcoming eval. Of course, many autistics have sensory issues. But I'm sure not all kids with sensory issues are autistic. Ruth
Guest guest
I believe toe-walking is usually a sensory thing.
