Guest guest
My son had problems with writing as well, he is 18 now, it took years of him working in pace books, where he had to write, every day of the week. But his writing has improved. He used to use the pencil grippers, he doesn't anymore. Ask the special ed person what they have that will help. He also did a program called something like tears for writing or something like that, it's been so long for me. They should have programs to help, keep asking questions until you get an answer. Yes OT would help him, I hope you can find that for your child. Some schools are good about wanting to help and they will tell you of things that the school can do to help, but others they keep it a big secret, don't know, guess they don't want to spend any money if they dont' have to. pj

Guest guest
The school should pay for this program. If the special ed teacher doesn't have it yet, and does not make an attempt to get it, you can ask the head of special ed to order it, that's what I did. pj From: a <paulahenderson@...> Sent: Friday, January 30, 2009 12:19:48 PMSubject: RE: ( ) , son's hand writing Handwriting Without Tears is what she means – superb course I believe, would love to be able to afford it for my dd. http://www.hwtears. com/ Hope that helps, a ( ) , son's hand writing My son had problems with writing as well, he is 18 now, it took years of him working in pace books, where he had to write, every day of the week.
