2009 Autism Intervention Conference

Fourth annual conference to offer education and support for parents,

educators and autism professionals

This is the fourth annual Autism Intervention Conference that has

been hosted at the University of Missouri. The conference is intended

to educate and provide support for parents and educators of

individuals with autism in addition to psychologists, speech and

language pathologists, medical professionals, applied behavior

analysts, habitation and employment specialists, vocational

rehabilitation counselors, case coordinators, and advocates.

This conference strives to provide an atmosphere of hope and upholds

a commitment to providing comprehensive, up-to-date coverage of

scientifically-validated strategies. This year's conference includes

two pre-conference workshops, a Center Meet and Greet,

vendor and agency booths, and more than 50 conference sessions

presented by regionally and nationally-recognized researchers and

practitioners in the field of autism. Topics covered include

assessment and diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders, behavioral

interventions and strategies, medical interventions, parent and

professional development and support, and research strategies.
