Guest guest
Hi, Carole. Well, I'm still earning it. :^) And still working on beautiful. But the plants and fish did very well this year; the rest is landscaping. I guess most people do the rock work first, but I had all these fish and plants to house, so I went for function first. If you do decide to build a pond, be sure and pick my brain. I know a lot of good cost-cutting ideas and resources. And how to avoid killing your fish. I'm surprised you were told to avoid massage! Done right I bet it would really benefit you. Too bad you don't live close to my therapist. She's excellent, and works around people's problems, as well as helping them. We do a lot of yard work here, but no pool (yet). I can dream, can't I? Ha! Ha! I was thinking of massage, but was told not to try it. Boy! We all get different messages, right? Guest guest
Thanks for the kind words, Carole. I tried the waterfall today, and it leaked like Swiss cheese, so I've been kind of bummed. Can #24 (#25, #26........), here I come! Sharon Re: [ ] just checking in Hi Sharon, I have just looked at your site and all the pictures. How beautiful! And, what great photography! Loved the dragon fly. We have a pentiant for them. Our little granddaughter has given us several make believe ones of different media for our gardens. We do get the real ones, too. But, your picture is just wonderful! Thanks for including the link! Carole

Guest guest
Hi Kam! Thank you for the information! I will be looking into getting one ASAP! I have always loved the water so it was quite upsetting to be so uncomfortable in it when I tried. I will try it again but with a different approach this time...".jumping in with both feet" is a problem of mine. I have been working on it but sometimes it rears its ugly head again...haha. Really, thank you Kam for your insight...it is always helpful! I hope that you are feeling better! I have been struggling with it myself, sick stinks! Be well! Suzie advokam <advokam@...> wrote: Suzie - Glad to see your post. If you have an aqua-jogger-type belt, just put that on and "jog" in the water...even if you don't go anywhere at first. Swimming is over-rated as far as I'm concerned - too painful for me to do right now as well, but if I get in the water and just MOVE, it feels so good to be weightless for a bit. When I am done with my workout, I usually just hold the belt and dangle for a bit before I get out. It allows all of my muscles to stretch just a bit and relaxes me...so nice. That being said, I have a terrible sinus infection (stress got the best of me) and opted to skip the water tonight. Oh, how I would love to be there right now, though. Perhaps I will feel sufficiently well tomorrow. ~kam FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click.
Guest guest
Gosh, thanks, Suzie *blush*! I'm pretty good at photographing just the pretty parts -- so much left to do! (No surgery while there's a waterfall to build and rocks to move and mulch to lay, no, no, no! And our dear British chica thinks SHE'S Nutty -- ho-ho!) I'm in southern NH. Do let me know if you're ever in the area -- we can sit by the pond and feed my fishies. I have a great 15-sec. video of them nibbling my toes. I was going to post a link, but the site I loaded it on is down for maintenance. Sharon :^) Re: [ ] just checking in Sharon, You really have EARNED your beautiful pool! How you have worked! Guest guest
Suzie, just a little clarification (if anyone cares). I can't take credit for that amazing flowerpot biofilter in the little pond. I saved those pics because the idea was so stunning, and put them in my Photobucket album so I could reconstruct the creator's post on a pond forum. But the rest is mine (except the snapping turtle, who was removed to a proper wild habitat). Thanks for reminding me of how much I have to smile about. Guest guest
Hi Sharon: As usual I'm way behind in reading and responding to messages, but I just had to mention that I visited the site where you put the pictures of your pond and the fishies. The pictures are just gorgeous. Are you a professional photographer? The pictures are so clear and colorful and closeup. You must have a great camera and great lenses. I've been taking pictures for years (35 mm) and my pictures are not even close to yours in quality. I just bought a digital camera (actually 7 months ago) and I still can't get used to it. I guess I don't like it! Keep up the good work with your pond, fish and the pictures. A minister, passing through his church in the middle of the day, decided to pause by the altarand see who had come to pray. Just then the back door opened. A man came down the aisle. The minister frowned as he saw the man hadn't shaved in a while. His shirt was kinda shabby and his coat was worn and frayed. The man knelt, he bowed his head, then rose and walked away. In the days that followed, each noon time came this chap. Each time he knelt just for a moment, a lunch pail in his lap. Well, the minister's suspicions grew, with robbery a main fear. He decided to stop the man and ask him, "What are you doing here?" The old man said, he worked down the road. Lunch was half an hour. Lunchtime was his prayer time, for finding strength and power. "I stay only moments, see, because the factory is so far away; as I kneel here talking to the Lord, this is kinda what I say: "I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER'S FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY. SO, JESUS, THIS IS JIM CHECKING IN TODAY." The minister, feeling foolish, told Jim that was fine. He told the man he was welcome to come pray just anytime. Time to go, Jim smiled, said "Thanks." He hurried to the door. The minister knelt at the altar, as he'd never done it before. His cold heart melted, warmed with love, and met with Jesus there. As the tears flowed, in his heart, he repeated old Jim's prayer: "I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER'S FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. I DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY. SO, JESUS, HERE I AM CHECKING IN TODAY." Past noon one day, the minister noticed that old Jim hadn't come. As more days passed without Jim, he began to worry some. At the factory, he asked about him, learning he was ill. The hospital staff was worried, But he'd given them a thrill. The week that Jim was with them, Brought changes in the ward. His smiles, a joy contagious. Changed people were his reward. The head nurse couldn't understand why Jim was so glad, when no flowers, calls or cards came. Not a visitor he had. The minister stayed by his bed, and voiced the nurse's concern: no friends came to show they cared. He had nowhere to turn. Looking surprised, old Jim spoke up and with a winsome smile: "The nurse is wrong; she couldn't know, that in here all the while Everyday at noon He's here, a dear friend of mine, you see. He sits right down, takes my hand, leans over and says to me:"I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, JIM, HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP, AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN. ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR YOU PRAY, I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERY DAY, AND SO, JIM, THIS IS JESUS, CHECKING IN TODAY."If this blesses you, pass it on. Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart. May God hold you in the palm of His hand and Angels watch over you. But for those of us who are already His, He not only holds us in the palm of His hand, but has engraved our names there, and we are continually in His sight (Isaiah 49:16) Please pass this page on to your friends & loved ones, if you aren't ashamed. Jesus said, " If you are ashamed of Me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father." If you are not ashamed, pass this on. Yes, I do love God. He is my source of existence and Savior. He keeps me functioning each and everyday. Without Him, I will be nothing. Without him, I am nothing. But with Him "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Guest guest
Hi to All, Sorry I have been away from the group on spring break during all these surgeries...yikes! Hurrah to Beth....and I have to say that I am sure I was in the same private room....they called it the " Larry Byrd suite " since he apparently stayed there while having his back attended to. And oddly, I had to spend an extra day in ICU due to the lack of a bed on the regular floors. I think when the stars align, the extra time in ICU is quite nice. It really helped to have someone at hand to help rollover those first couple of days. The picture you sent is a hoot. And Robin....thanks for reminding me about the old reverse Trendelenburg! It was the only way I could get comfortable. I had forgotten that. Thats why its so important to have a wide variety of people sharing experiences. Memories, as vivid as they are just after surgery, actually grow quite dim in a few years. And my fingers, toes, legs and ankles are all crossed for Vals big day tomorrow. I will be thinking about you until I hear that all is well! I will catch up more later. Take Care, Cam

Peggy [ ] Re: Just checking in Bonnie,I have more that needs fixing than just my back. I know my hips are 12% off they always have been and my knees have been bad since I was in my 30s.
