has anyone had any experience with side effects of vyvanse, and do they

go away? My son just started on 15mg. No major side effects, just

trouble going to sleep at night. We take it at 7:30 am. It seems like

he is not tired at night, and can't fall asleep (Although last night

was only the 2nd night) Is this common and does it go away? We are

supposed to go up to 30mg, but I'm afraid this will get worse. Thanks

Tammy

My son tried Vyvanse and experienced vomiting, so it did not work for him. It is my understanding that ADHD medications are largely "try and see what works" and they often need changed or tweaked in some way. Medication efficacy is different for each child. It is also my understanding that wakefulness/insomnia and loss of appetite are the primary side-effects of ADHD medications.
