I am showing my complete ignorance here! (I haven't got my daughter's brains!..) But how old is a first grader (I presume you're in the States?)

My daughter, who has Asperger's, read your e-mail, and would like to write to this little boy. She is 6 3/4 now, and has recently been assessed with a reading age of 11.9, so I'd guess you'd say she's very bright too. Her comprehension is that of a 9.7 year old. She's a lovely little girl (in fact very tall too!) and she'd love to write to this boy.

Please get in touch if you think you could make two little Aspies happy.

My son, Noah is 7. We are still waiting

for an accurate diagnosis, but I believe he is AS. (currently ADHD/OCD)

He may not have quite as advanced skills

as you’ve mentioned this child has, but he is “into” the same

things and I think would enjoy corresponding with him. If you believe he’d

be okay with 2nd/3rd grade level reading/writing, I think

it would be fabulous!

How wonderful to hear from you! Joanna will be thrilled, I'm sure:-)

She's at school now, so I will show her this later. This is all very new to us, as she was only diagnosed two months ago, so we are all experiencing a steep learning curve. It's all very new and exciting.

If I'm sounding at all distracted, it is because I am!! My little boy (4 next week) is driving me barmy with questions. He's at the "why?!?" stage, and he's wearing me out.

If someone wants to volunteer, they could set up a group for the kids. We've done this before and the only "stipulation" is that a parent would have to moderate postings and be someone who is available to do this for long term. Anyone interested?

Hi, This is a great Idea my son wants to be a part of this he is 7yrs oldDo anyone know how to get started or can we all work together to make this happen ?
