Guest guest
Good Morning ALL! I am in desperate need of some advice. My DS just turned 11 and is in 5th grade, getting ready to go to Middle School next year. He has aspergers, ADD, central auditory processing, and the doc thinks he's bipolar. Anyway, i thought that i had read somewhere about AS kids have a hard time copying from one page to another (copying answers from one page with paragraphs to another page that has fill in the blanks-pretty much word for word). Is this the case? My son has repeatedly been bringing home F's on these types of papers and he is an A/B student. I didnt' know if anything could be written in his IEP about this (has anyone done this) or if he needs something written from his doc, or what. I am at my wits end. I am pretty new to the IEP thing and just go along with what his teacher says, but getting ready to go to Middle School scares the H out of me. The only accomodations he gets now is read aloud tests. If you can think of any website or document that has the info about copying from one page to another, could you please send it to me so I can show the teacher? Any advice would be greatful. Thanks, Tonya
