Sometimes helping does not help.ie: the opposite of what you intend.Coping is about being oneself, and going what is necessary to survive.Has your son any ideas?ask him.I did what I was afraid of.

The total opposite, that's how I coped.Like the frightened cornered animal that charges the enemy. The last resort in many cases. But a step one has to be afraid enough to do. In a noisy social situation I heard nothing.

When occupted on a task I heard no distractions.Possible Solution - he needs a important task he can help others with.Neil - PDD, ADHD, Unipolar Manic, Sensory Dysfunction, Vocal.
