I'd love to hear more about yoru experiences growing up, what worked and didn't work for you. Sometimes helping does not help.ie: the opposite of what you intend.Coping is about being oneself,and going what is necessary to survive.Has your son any ideas?ask him.I did what I was afraid of. The total opposite, that's how I coped.Like the frightened cornered animal that charges the enemy.The last resort in many cases.But a step one has to be afraid enough to do. In a noisy social situation I heard nothing. When occupted on a task I heard no distractions.Possible Solution - he needs a important task he can help others with.Neil - PDD, ADHD, Unipolar Manic, Sensory Dysfunction, Vocal.
