In effort to help generate awareness for Autism, we gave our blessing to utilize a photograph of our beloved little girl, , who succumbed at the age of 13-1/2 years to sudden cardiac arrest. Our beautiful blue-eyed was chose to grace the pages of a previous NAA calendar and thus, others may be familiar with her with her image. I know our angel would be delighted. There is a saying within NAA, words which I feel cannot be more true: " An angel gets its wings by helping others find theirs " . So many individuals are affected by Autism - whether a loved one in the family - or indirectly, as a friend, student, neighbour or distant relative. In addition, many developmental differences, include conditions which present as " Autistic-like " . Statistics are staggering: 1 in 150 children! The month of April is dedicated to National Autism Awareness, and the 2nd, World Autism Awareness Day. Thank you for taking time to reflect on and all individuals whose lives are touched by Autism. God Bless. Sincerely, Velvet , Mom of ^j^ Administrator to Tetrasomy 18p Canada http://www.tetrasomy18p.ca/ 2 images attached: Footprints in the Sand, walking the beach... this was the image NAA utilized in the calendar of children; The second is for the memorial page - the photo taken at school - beautiful blue-eyed angel girl.
