My dd started with a fever last night(3yo).Her whole body was hot.I just gave

breastmilk till 4am when she got up to use the potty.Then I ran down to get

some HFK echinacea(she hates goldenseal).Gave that and some water.When she

got up at 7 she took some borion oscillococcnum(I had one small vial

left).Said her teeth and feet hurt prior to that.Finally took her temp around

9am and it was 102.1.

I just gave water and echinacea.And what luck the sodium ascorbate came in

the mail at noon,so she got that too.She acted fine,played.Rosie cheeks all

day.Ate a little and took a bath.Her temp at 9pm was 101.2. I will just keep

doing what I am doing and wait it out.I don't have fever reducers in the

If it is really bad, I would reduce the anti-virals. Otherwise stick

it out. Sometimes if you *increase* the anti-virals, things are done

more quickly, so that might be an option also.

Betty, please don't fret too much over this, we all know you love him as much as we love our own children, you do the best you can and that is all you can do, i'd ask his regular dr. if it is possible for him to have had this for this long? that way you have more peace of mind. But it is ok, we all do what we can when we can, we don't know if they won't tell us they feel bad u know? Take care of yourself, he needs u, so don't worry so much about not realizing or knowing, this does happen, he has medicine now right, u are home from the hospital? just go on from here. it will be okay. Personally, we have all had INFLUENZA A at our house; comes on sudden, and if we could have been in bed, we would have been; it is the worst; one wants to die and feels about like they are; the 'hack' lasts about 6 weeks; I am 20 days in now, and hacking STILL!!! After 10 days, I was coughing blood; went to the doctor whom said he agreed with our 'self-diagnosis' of FLU A but that NOW it was severe bronchitis, severe asthma (asked me if I had ever been hospitalized---NO---and I made sure he did not either!!!!----), and severe sinis infection. I felt like about the worst ever; then my husband got it, and he WAS in bed (as a woman and mom, I did not have that 'right')----anyway, it IS nasty; lots of people here have been hospitalized with it, too. WEEKS is crazy; I doubt it, so let it go. Ruthie Dolezal

I have not had time to type on here at all, but whenever that grandma being a mom (BETTY) says things, I get soooo frustrated, so I just HAD to respond (SHE DOESN'T FRUSTRATE ME---how she IS treated by her 'son's' biological mother bothers me-----)......I am here, just trying to catch up, and move in; and put my house together now that we feel a LITTLE better ourselves..........it's been crazy for sure! No we are NOT settled in yet but we are working hard all the time!! It is getting old but it has light at the end of the tunnel for sure!!

Everyone is almost feeling better although we all still HACK a lot!! We love, love, love our new home, neighborhood, and being in n, so that is

making it all worth it for sure! And, that keeps us working as hard as we can!

I am soooo glad the school is finally working with you all. Which support group are you going to and when does it meet and where? I am hoping I can get

more involved in those kinds of things now that I live in a 'real house.' I could stay here and never leave now; I hate going to the store, shopping now, and just want to be home. My husband is THRILLED WITH THAT----as you can imagine; I was NEVER HOME before-----anyway, I DO WANT to go to more groups and things for me / us as a couple, as my home is finally big enough to be clean all the time (I think) and organized for sure (I hope we can keep it that way---smile). I have about 1 hour left to get my daycare organized, and it will be all done, so that is very exciting, so it is all slow but surely progressing along. My kiddos will be soooo excited in the morning, for sure; they are just going to absolutely LOVE it! (AND SO AM I--- it is like a daycare center NOW instead of a daycare home (just has all the same people and love in it)......there is so much more room---about 1100 sqare feet now instead of just 400, so this is great!!!---I left a place for them to run up and down in the basement (they love to do that, so at least there is a 'safe place' to do it now).....

Thanks for the update on Dylan, and if you ever want to get together and chat or anything, let us know.....we would love to; it is great to have others like us / trying to 'survive' these children (and them survive us at times I am sure)---my six year old aspies is playing pool in the new pool room here to get a break right now----never thought he would do his own thing, so it is all baby steps. Better get to work before I make my husband upset that I am typing, not working (and probably upset myself more as the time is flying by for sure---and with loosing an hour last night over the time change, I need to work as hard as I can).....have a great week.
