We live in Texas and there are no restrictions. The state does not require anything so it makes it very easy.

We checked our son out of school ordered a curriculum and got started. We have been using Alpha Omega from the beginning and we have continued to be happy with it. I'm sure he will finish school using this curriculum. It took a couple of weeks to receive the books through the mail.

One more thing, we also became members of a home school group near us called HOST ( Homeschoolers of South Texas). This is a great group and they offer all kinds of field trips, a geography fair, a spelling bee, ect. There are actually so many things offered we could not possibly do them all. Home schooling is really growing so there might be some kind of group near you.
