Guest guest
Hello all, We just completed the Speech and Language testing today and it was pretty rough. First, I don't think my son was there...I am pretty sure it was the alter ego (Buggy). Does anyone else's child have an alter-ego?? He tested at average for all the comprehension, patterns and following directions, but when we got to the applying knowledge part we had some issues. He struggles with reading facial expressions and postures, problem solving in social settings and pretty much anything having to do with compromise and social settings. I am assuming this is pretty typical for Aspies? We have a med check tomorrow and I am not too sure what to expect for meds. He is currently on Ritilan, Tenex and Risperdol. I am not sure about the Ritilan anymore, Nick doesn't have any attention issues and is doing fabulous in school. Any hints? Thank you to all in advance. This is a bumpy road. Guest guest
Hi . What do you mean an alter ego? My daughter is like a shy quiet girl at school but at home she is demanding larger then life character ordering me around ...lately I have been asking her when is the bully going to leave us alone ... I didn't find any speech therapists that ever gave a good evaluation for us. My daughter does so well 1:1 with adults. You really have to evaluate her in school with other kids. I can't help with these medications. I hope someone else can. How old is your son? I expect my daughter does need medication for attention. She complains school is painfully slow and that it is so exhausting for her to pay attention. However our MD wanted to treat her anxiety first and see if it takes care of the attemtional issues ....However my daughter was an iron clan contract from me that prozac won't do anything wierd to her ...how in the world do I do that .... These kidos are so smart. Pam > > Hello all, > > We just completed the Speech and Language testing today and it was pretty rough.
