you may want to look into your local Office of Rehabilitative Services. They sometimes can make a referral for a driving evaluation and subsequent driving lessons. Pam :)

Thank you so much for replying to my message. Can you tell me more about Job Corp?We are working on the driving but it is a concern to me so I think he needs lots and lots of practice before I would feel him safe on the road. He can get the mechanics of it but would he think quickly enough when confronted with something confusing..i dont know.He consiler tells me he is very intelligent but he just barely got passing grades in school. He wants to work but there is nothng around. He fights depression and I worry about pushing him too much but also not pushing enough. This is so complicated. He doesnt share much so it is hard to know what he is thinking.Any suggestions you can give me as to how you handle a young man with this would be so appreciated.> >> > I am pretty new to this group. I need to know what to do with a high functioning individual whom doesnt have a job or license. He was so turned off to school during his years there that he wont even consider doing that. I am frustrated and tired. I have bought and read books but that is not enough. I am not equipped and could use any help.> >>
