Guest guest
Yes , my daughter started on Abilify when she was 8. She is now 11 and continues.Jillian From: mary <mary_flacy2002@...>Subject: ( ) We found help today Date: Wednesday, March 18, 2009, 9:04 PM I finally got some help for my son started.I dont post much so I know I am not remembered by most, but I have a son who had some quirky things that made me think he was on the spectrum. We did the ADOS tests with a sychologist who said my son was too smart to be on the spectrum and it was just ADHD. I found a sychiatrist and made the appt and after seeing her yesterday she referred us to a child sych whom we saw today. The child sych said she definately sees him being on the spectrum and wants to see him back weekly for right now to get the right eval done on him. Now as soon as I can get her to officially diagnos him,we can get help at school for socialization skills.I am so relieved to finally have someone be on my side on this issue. It seems like I have to fight to get my son any help before being diagnosed. It does take a fight for me to get my son help,It took 2 yrs to get a Cerebral Palsy diagnosis.and that one should have been an easy one to get.I am wondering if anyone has a younger child on abilify? The sych today gave it to Vin and I have never heard young children taking it.Thanks to all the support that is on this group its nice to have others who will "listen"
