medicaid for aspie and/or adopted child?

I'm trying to get help from medicaid for our 6 year old aspie who we adopted

from overseas.

Does anyone know if there is a way he qualifies for medicaid by being adopted?

Someone mentioned it as a possibility this week and I've never heard of it.

Has anyone been able to qualify for medicaid for an aspie? Some people have

told me there is no way he would qualify, but we're going to try because we

really need the financial help for his therapies and to get some OT equipment

for home.

Would love any insight you all have!
