Guest guest
What I did with my son's school is, in the beginning of the year I provided the teacher with a bag of my son's " safe treats " to have on hand. When parents would bring snacks for the class for birthdays, etc., the teacher would go to the cupboard and get something out for my son to have. This worked out very well. You really cannot depend on people to remember to look for where they put your number and to call you in advance. This way, you only have to get the teacher on board, not everyone else. > > I'm going to hand out notes to all the parents of the other > kids, asking them to warn me ahead of time if they're bringing > treats so I can provide an alternate treat for Bam. Guest guest
And then I had an even better idea - the teacher is going to keep a treat for Bam in the classroom for whenever anyone passes goodies out. She's definitely been noticing his hyper behavior lately, so was very cooperative. Next step - talk to the mom of the boy who likes to share. She's friendly, so that shouldn't be hard. He is so goofy and unfocused today, it's painful to be around him. :-( Willa

I had the same thought right after I posted. :-) I think the goldfish cracker sharing has stopped and he is seeming much more like his usual self today, thank goodness.
