Guest guest
My aspie who is 8 went to school Thurs and Fri for a half day and so far so good. He doesn't come home to do what he wants, I sat with him and we worked on tons of things. It was very quiet with just him and I here and he was very cooperative. I believe that if they could get him into a smaller classroom with little stimulus, he would flourish! Our school has open classrooms. There are 3 grades in one section with only dividers between, so there is a lot of movement and noise. He was getting most of his subjects in of a morning so the afternoon was for activies (p.e., fine arts and group activites) so I don't feel like he is missing out on much. I know he needs to be socialized but at this pt he seems like it is too stimulating and he spends most of his time being aggressive and getting into trouble. Thanks for all your suggestions, Lori Never miss a thing. Make your homepage.
