Guest guest
No offense taken, I just wanted to make sure we were talking about the same thing So my issue is that my ds has not had neuro testing done. My DH will not allow it. He is not under the care of any psychologist or psychiatrist. I am OK with his DX as it fits well. And he is not showing any co-morbid symptoms, except for some oppositional behavior I am keeping an eye on. He never did go through the 'terrible 2's' so I'm hoping it's just that showing up in his 3's. If anything changes, I will start pushing DH, and eventually just schedule it and take him in for testing myself, like I've had to do everything else myself. They can only evaluate children to see if they meet the definition of a disablity according to the IDEA law. > > > > > > > > > > > > > Are you sure about that? My son has only been definitely dx'ed by the psych at school. His regular ped said 'maybe yes, go see the dev. psych'. Dev pysch. said 'maybe yes, go see the school for an eval'. School pysch. said 'definitely yes, welcome aboard...'. So that is the only source of his dx. > > > > TJ > > > > > > > > > >
