Guest guest
I have little doubt that I am the only one that heard about this considering I believe it was announced for the first time yesterday at E3. I am probably also the first to think about its uses in treating asperger's and autistic kid (outside of a couple people at Microsoft). But as I was watching this video (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8077369.stm , 2nd video on that page) I couldn't help but thinking that this could be the perferct thing for social skills training for aspie kids. Now I am not even sure that what you saw will be released as a program, or that it will work near as well as it does there (voice recognition is always figidity, at least until now), but think about it, a non-judgemental person for asperger's kids to interact with, and learn how to recognize nonverbal cues with, and to learn to use said cues with, etc., its an interesting thought. The one thing I worry about is it might be too addicitive and end up being like a Sims-Friend. But what does everyone else think?
