Guest guest
Does anyone have suggestions for finding a mature, college student with an expertise in either science, world history(Africa & Ancient Cultures)or geography? We are located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our son excels in these fields and he would benefit socially and emotionally from such a relationship. He often feels very isolated as his peers don't share his passion in these fields. Please let me know of ANY leads. Thanks,
Guest guest
I know there have been a lot of negatives about Craigs list in the news lately, but that might be one way, another way is to look on www.meetup.com. People post their interests, when you have enough in your group, somebody will ususally schedule a " meetup " at a coffee shop etc,. It attracts a lot of very narrow interests, i.e. Japanese culture or such. Post that you are interested in certain area, if you don't find anything on it already and you may be surprised at the interest that turns up. It is a great resource. I have started groups in meetup in my area on aspergers/autism, web design and bonsai. Free to post, but you have to pay to organize the meetings. Good luck, Sue in TN > > Does anyone have suggestions for finding a mature, college student with an expertise in either science, world history(Africa & Ancient Cultures)or geography?
