Guest guest
My son started playing baseball a couple of weeks ago. It's a Little League team in the Challenger League. It is for kids with disabilities who might not do well in the regular league. Anyway, one of the official rules for LL is that all the boys must wear a cup. This was something new to . I made Dad go and buy it. I was afraid wouldn't wear it but dad found a supporter made like briefs with a little pocket to put the cup in. is good about wearing it. He's just been hilarious and odd and a bit inappropriate about it. When he put it on he remembered something he heard on Craig Ferguson's show. I DVR it and watch it during the day. Anyway, happened to be in the room when Craig started commenting on a baseball player who was in trouble for taking steroids. He pretended to write a letter saying, " You shouldn't take steroids because it will shrink your testicles to the size of raisins. Of course I have to take steroids just to shrink MINE to the size of a man's head. " It's been a couple of years since we saw this and though talked about it at the time he didn't mention it for well over a year. Then he put on the cup and said, " My testicles feel like they're the size of a man's head. " It makes me laugh and of course this just keeps him saying it over and over. Fortunately, he's been pretty good about only saying it when I'm the only one who can hear him. Last tuesday at practice decided to test his cup by punching at it. Pretty good armour, apparently. It's my understanding that my kid isn't the only one with this sort of curiosity. One kid said, " It's like a turtle in it's shell. " A whole group of kids seemed to use their cups as musical instruments tapping out the star spangled banner on them. At least we're with people who understand.
