Guest guest
, My son took that med briefly, but we had to discontinue it because it appeared to make him more aggressive. He was also taking Respidal at the time. After discontinuing the Concerta his aggression went back to normal levels. Respidal seems to work best for my ds. Hope that helps. > > My son just started 18mg of concerta today, does anyone have any pros > or cons on this med? all your experiences would help > > thanks brandi > mother of 10 year old christopher with asperger's syndrome >
Guest guest
Hi everyone. My 8 year old son is in a very demanding private school. Initially he had problems with some of the kids isolating him. We contacted the school and they were supportive and watched out for him. he is doing very good academically, however because of his need for more attention in the classroom ( needs to be redirected), the school is asking us to leave. He has been taking concerta for about one and a half year. The last couple of week he seems very anxious, fidgety and nervous. We just stopped concerta. it was helping somewhat with the focusing. We have another month and a half left of school. The thought of a new school is very horrifying, specially with his social awkwardness. we are contemplating a school specially for kids with pervasive disorders and high functioning autism or asperger. does anyone have any experiences with these schools? will I be isolating my son furthure from society? I dont know what do to? please let me know if you have any suggestions. thanks
