Guest guest
Judy, I do not have MS but I do have lupus as well as other stuff. Before I really heard of LDN I had started to wean off Plaquenil, didn't think it made much difference. So started LDN and was just fine so never went back to plaquenil. I have been off it for several months, on LDN for about 5 months and better for it in the lupus department. Celia

Guest guest
I don’t see how this is off topic. It is about mixing LDN with an immunosuppressant and having it possibly still work well. We have been told they don’t work together yet I’ve seen posts that say Plaquenil may be an exception. If it works well with LDN, that’s news to share, so if you have anything to share about this, please do. If you’re more comfortable emailing me directly I guess that’s ok, but there may be others on this board who would like to know about this too. Thanks, Judy Re: Plaquenil and LDN - your experiences? Guest guest
Well Judy I guess that would depend on your dr and what he tells you about plaquenil then as the 14 rheumy's I have been to all since I got sick 12 feel that plaquenil is an immuno modulator NOT and suppressant. So I guess this would depend on your beliefs on how plaquenil works. Again I have been taking both and just each for a long time now and have done a lot of experimenting until I found the right balance. > > > > I have seen some posts from people who stayed on Plaquenil and have > done well with it and > > LDN together (even though conventional wisdom says one counteracts > the other), and I am > > trying to put the pieces together and see if stopping Plaquenil > might have been what has > > caused some of us RA patients to have problems down the road with > just using LDN. Guest guest
My My, I agree with Judy. How can this be an off topic question? Aren't we here to help each other to heal in the most dignified and painless way possible? I, for one, appreciate any feedback from others that might help me on my journey to eventual freedom. I'm a newbie on LDN and a year is a long time to live with unneccesay pain if a pioneer has discovered something that has worked for them. Thank you again for all of you who have thoughtfully offered ideas. Bless You! ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ You rock. Guest guest
Hi I am on Plaquenil and LDN for sjogrens disease Plaquenil alone helped some. LDN alone helped even more. But LDN and Plaquenil together has taken a lot of the sjogren symptoms away, especially the fatigue and the brainfog. I still have problems with dryness. Maybe the glandular tissue is already destroyed? Liseander
Guest guest
Hi Lisender, thanks for your post. Several people have said they had a good experience with both and no one seemed to say anything negative. So..I will talk to my dr. Monday and see if I get back on plaquenil for a while to speed up the coming glory days! Have been in a lupus/fibro flare since I began LDN and I think I need some help with these beasts. Guest guest
Hi I use both LDN and Plaquenil after recommendation from my rheumy. He says Plaquenil is an immunomodulator like LDN and combo LDN/Plaquenil is most probably the best treatment for my sjogren today.
