Guest guest
I was diagnosed with AS almost 8 years ago. Enbrel worked for about a year and then suddenly quit working. Ditto with Humera. I have been on steroids nonstop for 8 years. I have also been on Methotrexate and Sulfasalazine for a limited time. If I could do anything over, I would decrease my activity for the rest of my life --- instead of what I actually did, which was hit the gym the minute I felt better. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that things would get as bad as they actually have. I have a huge problem with insertion site tendonitis and after years of relentless inflammation, those insertion sites are rupturing. Both anterior tibia tendons have ruptured, a tendon in one toe has ruptured, and I have had a partial tear in one achilles. The tendon sheaths in all 10 fingers have been surgically excised. I WISH I HAD DECREASED MY ACTIVITY WAY BACK WHEN. Today was my 3rd day on LDN and I am steading praying that this will help. Fran You rock.
