Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have read a few replies on here regarding 4-AP, and have done some research to learn more, : http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/news/May2000/4APFAQ.html I wanted to know have any of you guys tried, or take 4-AP? If so , how were your results, and any problems/side effects? Ive also read that there is a possibility of seizures However alot of people have seen great improvements in stregth of legs and walking. Is it worth taking such a risk? or is it a very small risk? Heres some others opinions: http://www.revolutionhealth.com/drugs-treatments/rating/4-ap-4- aminopyridine?page=1 & view=treatment Thanks
Guest guest
Thanks for the website. That was very informative. I have been on 4-AP SR (sustained release) 10 mg. twice/da.for several months as part of a Study. It has improved my walking and bladder control. It doesn't help everyone but it's worth a try. Someone had asked why would someone want to take it since it's toxic to mammals and birds. Coumadin is rat poison and there are a lot of people on it. Guest guest
does anyone know if you can get 4ap in the uk john low dose naltrexone From: michrr44@...Date: Wed, 22 Apr 2009 10:09:38 -0700Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Re: 4-AP Hi Ken- The time-released version of 4-AP is not out yet. I am now up to 4 mg of LDN at bedtime, with the intention of increasing to 4.5 mg. I take 10 mg of 4-AP- 3 times per day, which has enabled me to walk better. Though I was diagnosed over 23 years ago with MS, I am now seeing an LLMD(Lyme literate medical doctor). My tests are not conclusive enough yet for him to give me a Lyme diagnosis, yet there are enough red flags that he started me on antibiotics 3 months ago. I would suggest that you seek out an LLMD to properly ascertain whether you have MS or Lyme. From: Ken <cleremond2000 >Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Re: 4-APlow dose naltrexone Date: Wednesday, April 22, 2009, 3:45 PM Thanks so much for the info, ...Is the time-released version of 4-AP available? Might I ask what protocol you are following with regard to taking both 4-AP and LDN? Are you seeing a real benefit? I was dx with RRMS in Feb '08...but honestly feel that I have been misdiagnosed and that I have a chronic lyme infection that is the underlying cause of my CNS issues, though my ELISA came back negative and they did not continue with a Western Blot or any other testing. My MS diagnosis was confirmed by both MRI and Lumbar Puncture.Currently I am taking LDN at 4.5mg each night between 10PM-12AM.
