any one from New England area & other stuff

Hello to all,

Here are some of the things that I have come across in the past week

or so and would love to hear if anyone else has found the same thing.

We would also love to get in contact with any members who are the

New England area. We are located in Massachusetts and would like to

start a chapter of the caps/plagio site in the New England area so as

to spread the word about Plagio.

It seems to us that are not enough resources here and too many Dr's

are telling parents not to worry that the head will take shape on its

own and in some cases I'm sure it will but in most of the cases esp.

those with Tort. the head will not take shape. Then the child is

looking at not only a miss shapen head but also other possible

complications.

So if any one could give us some advice as to how we could go about

this we would be grateful.

We absolutely love our Pediatrition of 6 yrs. he is very up to date

and leaves nothing to chance with Childrens health and yet neither he

nor his associates were aware of the condition. Once they rulled out

Craniosynostosis he said not to wory that it should correct itself.

Luckily he is not one of these Dr's who take offence to a parent

questioning and doing research. He was actually very grateful that

we were able to enlighten them. The only place we could locate to do

the Helmet was at the Floating Childrens Hospital in Boston. (Well

that is who locally was found Aetna (ins.) wanted us to drive 6 hours

each way to NY City for the casting, helmet & followups but that is

another story).

The Dr. who casted Bri told us he is trying to get a bill passed so

that everyone who casts for helmets and bands will have to be

certified. The way it is now (at least in MA) you don't have to be

certified to do the casting and fitting or making of the helmet.

This is soooo wrong don't you agree?
