Guest guest
I know what you mean. I felt the exact same way when I first read it. It's very depressing, but nonetheless it's better to know and be able to do something about it than to not know and have never had the chance. In order to avoid overwhelming yourself, start out doing what you can and try to continually adding something new to your health regimen. A slow, progressive change in habits may be more beneficial than too much change too quickly as the latter may in fact be too much for some to handle. The saddest fact of all may be that dental work is contributing to many people's illness(es). Especially those with " silver " fillings. These fillings contain mercury and many times thallium. Thallium is even worse than mercury and we all know how bad mercury is! Unless she has updated that info lately, Dr. says that plastic dentures are OK, if they are not colored. Anyone know of her saying differently lately? Any metal in your mouth will undoubtedly leach into your body especially during consumption of hot foods and beverages. This is a constant immunosuppressant. If you are still experiencing adrenal insufficiency, start yourself on the kidney cleanse as they are likely the main cause of the adrenal problems Parasites are certainly harboring in the adrenals as well. Zapping them is the easiest way to kill them, but you can use black walnut hull tincture or capsules if you have no zapper yet. Get one, though, or better yet build your own, they are just as good. It is not bad to do all at once. In fact, it is wise to simultaneously do kidney and colon cleansing along with the parasite cleanse in order to quickly eliminate all toxins released from dead and dying parasites. Once again, you also should drink lots of water, exercise, and sweat a lot. This will greatly reduce die-off symptoms making it easier to " stay the course " as many have quit because they feel worse once they start the parasite program due to the die-off. You will get worse before you get better, but trust me, stick with it and it WILL get MUCH better. I have two cats and two dogs. About 2 TBS. Colloidal silver per bowl of water seems to do the trick. It would be best to give them the parasite herbs in their food along with the CS. Parsley water in their water bowl will keep those kidney functioning at tip-top shape. Parsley water is part of the kidney cleanse anyway, plus it's cheap. I take my kidney tea hot and I never forget the vegetable glycerin as it makes it so much more palatable. Dr. recommends it cold, but I don't care for it that way. Do the liver cleanse after you've completed the initial parasite cleanse. Otherwise you will likely not flush many stones. Good luck!! Ken -- KEN Thank You Ken, But I feel like a crazy woman spinning in circles:/ I just found Dr. s book the cure for cancer at a used book store! And proceded to read about how we're supposed to take all the metal out of our mouths and use plastic dentures. [aaaaakkkk:0] (that's me pulling my hair out.) I just paid $12,000 to have almost all my teeth replaced with white porcelin (which has metal frames) from Nov.04- Feb.05 and then proceded to get deathly sick with Hashimoto's in March (immune sx attacks thyroid) and adrenal insuficincy where I felt like I was dead. But I have to believe I'm OK now because I'm not paying to have them taken out and wear plastic dentures. I read those are bad because they leak toxins. I don't see how plastic can be better than steel. I think you're right about doing the best we can and not worry about the rest because faith and our thoughts count too. I'm not just a physical being. I feel much better now that I have yeast under control. But the thought of parasites in me makes me sick. Isn't it bad to do all the cleanses and killers at once? And what do your cats take to kill bugs? Mine are very picky eaters. THANK YOU,
Guest guest
Ken, and others...I was just wondering about the " die off " (aka Herxheimer effect) that you were talking about... I just did my second liver cleanse (the first one didn't produce stones), and saw hundreds of stones- some very big ones in the beginning- bright emerald green ones and then hundreds of small ones afterwards. After reading many testimonials I expected to feel pretty good afterwards, but actually my allergies have been flaring up and my arthritis has been bothering me in my feet. Is this a bad sign, herxheimer, or just that I have so many stones in my body that I am going to have to do many more cleanes before I start noticing a significant improvement? Despite allergies arthritis, etc., the cleanse, I thought, was absolutely incredible...I was SHOCKED at how many of those damn stones were coming out of me...Even a day later! --- ken <crapmail@...> wrote: > I know what you mean. Guest guest
Die-off is caused by the surge of toxins that flood the body when parasites are killed. The body cannot keep up with the amount of toxins and therefore symptoms arise in many forms. In your case, this is not what you are experiencing. You haven't mentioned doing any parasite program or cleanses, so this is almost certain to be the cause, especially the arthritis. Parasites are the main cause of joint pain. It is also possible that you have a buildup of either uric acid or oxalate acid (or both) in your body which collect in the foot area and cause pain there as well. So what do you do? You start a parasite program in conjuction with kidney and colon cleansing. This will take care of both. You will likely experience true die-off soon after starting the parasite program, so expect it. Don't stop if you do experience it. It is not harmful for the body to go through this unless you're next to death already. In that case, or in the event that you just can't stand the symptoms, back off a bit and go slower. As far as the allergies go, you still have hundreds of stones in your liver. If possible, do a bi-weekly liver cleanse until you get relief from your allergies. Until you remove them all, you will eventually get the allergy symptoms back once they move from the back of the liver/gallbladder to the front and clog up your biliary tubing again. Ken -- Re: KEN Ken, and others...I was just wondering about the " die off " (aka Herxheimer effect) that you were talking about... Guest guest
Dear Ken, Just to add to what said, Disneyland can be a goal, but you will be unable to ride rollercoaster type rides for the first year, at least my doc said so, till fusions are solid. Ken, while a few of us have come through this with no complications, many of us have. You can hope for the best, I certainly hope that happens for you, but it's good to plan for " the what if's" in case they do pop up. There will always be a shot they will have to go back in and tweek things after this surgery, Kam is a good example of this. So even if after you have revision, you don't need a second, there might be a situation with various things that can delay your recovery, infection as in and 's case, a screw thats painful like Kam. The BEST surgeons will all have complications show up, just a product of how complicated this surgery is. It's good to ask your doc about the ones that didn't go as well as he/her would have liked. I'm concerned that you are looking for the PERFECT DOC, THE BEST DOC, but be assured that there are several who are looked upon that way, BUT, we all come to this surgery with various spinal problems, our Hardware being mostly all Harrington rods, but just what has happened above and below our fusions can be similiar, but not all the same. Just how complicated the surgery is can vary widely, some are pretty straight forward and others a real challenge like say ie when he goes for surgery. So Ken even if you have a excellent doc, things can and sometimes do pop up that require more surgery, either an easy fix, or a total reworking like I had to have. The blessing in hearing this is most of us that have had more than the orginal revision, either small extra surgery or the whole shebang, are mostly doing well and are glad we had the surgery. I look at this whole thing as I'm good now, hope I always will be, that I'll hopefully go the rest of my like without more, but if I do ever need more surgery I'm thankful for these great doc's that do this work and that their expert skills will be available to me if I need them again. [ ] Ken Hi Ken -I hope you realize that no matter WHO does your surgery, you will be one of the lucky ones NOT to have to go back and have things tweaked to make it right. This is a fairly new, very complicated surgery and there just isn't any one particular doctor who is "better" at it than any other. This is the reason it's best to hold off until your quality of life is such that you're more than willing to undergo this surgery and all of it's many possible complications just because you are miserable. Not just in pain, but I mean MISERABLE. And one must also take into consideration that it will likely be a good year before one is back to feeling "normal" again. Sure, you can return to work sooner (if able). But that's not saying that you will feel like your old self again by then. This isn't a surgery that you can have thinking that finally, you'll be able to take the family to Disneyland in a few months and be pain free. What I'm saying Ken, is you'd be best going into this expecting the best outcome but also being prepared for the worst. Because there are many of us who planned on just one procedure, but ended up having another, and another, and even another. Through no fault of their own, and CERTAINLY no fault of their doctor. There are absolutely NO revision doctors who can assure you that just one revision will do the trick. Of course, we all HOPE that it will, but if it doesn't......we just pull up our bootstraps and hope the next one will!My Best,~~ > > >> > > > > > Francee,> > > > > > Is anyone out there who didn't need the osteotomy(mies) either? > I > > could> > > use some re-assurance?> > > > > > YES! Guest guest
Dear Cena, I rode rollercoasters ever since my harrington Rod surgery, no troubles. I was told after revision not to for a year and haven't yet since mine four years ago. Guest guest
I love roller coasters!! The last time I went to 6 Flags, I noticed that the new, metal (FAST) roller coasters gave a much more smooth ride than the old wooden roller coaster. I will never do another wooden coaster because it gave me a headache. I ride roller coasters every chance I get, but I am not so sure I will do it after revision. > > Have you been able to ride rollercoasters? Guest guest
LOL - thanks SB! If I remember correctly it was a wooden roller coaster that did the majority of the whipping when I was 16 (we're talking 15 years ago too). I suppose the newer ones with over the shoulder supports are more supportive too. ________________________________ > > From: bahadreama@... > Date: Thu, 1 Feb 2007 23:46:16 +0000 > Subject: [ ] Re: Ken > > I love roller coasters!! Guest guest
I'd definitely agree with sticking to the modern, metal built ones. I've actually not been on a rollercoaster since revision, but went to Alton Towers a few times before it. The first time, which was actually before my back got really bad, I went on just about everything and the difference between the old coasters and new was night and day - I've not been near the corkscrew or any of the other old ones since. Last time I went, Air was quite new, and I stuck just with that, Nemesis and Oblivion - lots of g-force, but without the horrible rattling and bumping which was what had me so stiff that my husband practically had to lift me out of the corkscrew - no mean feat given we're the same height and I weigh more than he does *lol* titch-- The wages of sin are death, but by the time taxes are taken out, it's just sort of a tired feeling - a Poundstone
Guest guest
hmmmm, I wonder if the amusement park will be open on weekends before I have surgery! my daughter won't ride anything -- the last time we went, she got a bit of whiplash from the thing that drops straight down. She had her head turned and was talking to me instead of looking forward and bracing herself. > > I'd definitely agree with sticking to the modern, metal built ones. Guest guest
I actually cancelled the surgery with Dr A, as I was not able to get the patient referrals that I wanted and decided to go see Dr Hu .... I also obtained a report from Dr LaGrone.astreeff <astreeff@...> wrote: I did not realize Ken had found a doctor and schedule surgery with Dr. Akbarnia in La Jolla, California! Guest guest
I also to received a letter from Dr LaGrone, I was on the NSF forum and saw your post about surgery so I thought you had found a surgeon. Well good luck with your appointment with Dr Hu. I think I may have found one in D.C. I did not realize Ken had found a doctor and schedule surgery with Dr. > Akbarnia in La Jolla, California! Guest guest
Ken, I hope as I am writing this you are getting done with your MRI. I hope it went well. I agree with . Unless something new happened today I would forge ahead and stay with your planned appoointment on Monday. I am sure that for the purpose of this appt. a " wet read " will suffice. Of course DrHu will reserve the right to ammend her recommendations after she gets the written report...but I bet she will have enough info before her to help you see where you " are " . Time is of the essence for you as your insurance issues are going to get bigger if you don't decide to do something before it runs out. Waiting another week is going to put you under that much more pressure. Go! Wishing you smooth travels, Cam p.s. And if you don't go Monday you won't get the bonus of meeting Kim!!! Guest guest
The appointment was postponed as I had difficulty in getting the "pre-auth" for the MRI.. they told me 3 hours prior to my appt.... I guess there have been recent "policy" changes with my PPO insurance plan thru Blue Shield.... My PCP dr told me regarding getting my authorization for an MRI that he has never seen anything like this from Blue Shield, It must have something to do with the cancellation which is coming on 5/31 between (B.S & The Association of Realtors)... I did get the pre-auth but my appt is not until this coming Tuesday!! I have not rescheduled with Dr Hu yet, I want to make sure that this all works out as planned. The appt posted on the board was only tenative and was dependant on the MRI. Thanks for asking!! Ken. Any news on visit with Dr. Hu?Kathy It's here! Guest guest
Hi , You hit it on the nail... Busy & Emotionally trying... one of the hard things for those new to this is getting your brain around the fact that this is elective surgery - no one is forcing you to do it, it isn't life or death if you don't... so timing is absolutley personal and the risks must be calculated... I have come to terms that this is the right time/dr/etc and my family supports me! Thanks for writing , it helps! I will try those tips for the kids! One of my biggest challenges is letting go (being out of control?)... and allowing everyone to be there for me - I always take care of them! ARGH! lol... Thanks again! Ken. [ ] Ken Hi Ken,I just wanted to make sure I wished you God speed on your up and coming surgery. I know the week before is outrageously busy and emotionally trying. Just remember, why you are doing it and keep repeating those reasons to yourself and your wife. A good trick to ease the children is a picture of yourself taped to the inside of the lid of their lunch box and another one beside the bed. My son, chatted to me the whole time I was away and I didn't even have to respond LOL! Seriously, it helps the kids with the jitters..having the picture. Guest guest
Cam, I couldn't help laughing when I read your message... and yet... what's funny about it? LOL! Ken. [ ] Re: Ken Ken,Yeah, just wait until you wake up from the surgery and realize you signed up to be run over by a big truck, and then backed up on and run over again, by said same truck...and you ELECTED to do it. That will surely be another one of those times that you will say to yourself "Oh....someone in the group mentioned this was how I was going to feel...."... OUCH!Wishing you a restful week.Take Care, Cam
