Guest guest
Have seen many times here that chocolate is an absolute no-no for ms. Want to share my point of view... As long as the chocolate is dark (at least 70%) it is a good antioxidant. I've been eating a small bit daily for years. Just milk chocolate or any normal candy bars are what I avoid. Now the choice is yours, Lorna
Guest guest
I have still been eating chocolate every so often and it hasn't bothered me but I have noticed before taking LDN I was a big chocoholic and since being on LDN I don't eat that much anymore and sometimes when I do eat it, it doesn't taste as good as it did before. Guest guest
Chocolate does seemed to be a mixed bag for MS. Lorna is right and there are actually some benefits to eating chocolate (for some people). In fact Dr. Bihari would have some people eat it on purpose because it has a similar effect to DLPA in that something in the chocolate would help slow down the die off from the endorphins during the day (making them last longer). But taking DLPA (if tolerated well) is perhaps a better way to get that effect as you don't have the negative effects of eating the chocolate that many do. I have also heard from many people on the site that have had horrible experiences from eating chocolate. So I guess like with many things, just pay close attention to how you react to it. Lucky Lorna gets to eat chocolate. I love chocolate and miss it greatly. Enjoy it for all of us kiddo. Guest guest
yeah, that's what I was told too... so I did a test, TWICE, 6 months apart VERTIGO CITY! took WEEKS to resolve. The last bout took 2-3 months! Wasn't sure if it was a coincidence or not, so I repeated the punishment. Dark used to trigger exacerbations, now only vertigo. Great improvement, eh? Someone asked if too many antioxidants wouldn't EAT UP all the LDN too... Cyanide may have antioxidants too, but I sure ain't gonna test THAT Yep, choice is yours... it's your body, do what you want [low dose naltrexone] about chocolate Have seen many times here that chocolate is an absolute no-no for ms. Guest guest
LDN has caused a major reduction in appetite for me. I've been skipping lunch a lot because I am just not hungry. > > I have still been eating chocolate every so often and it hasn't bothered me but I have noticed before taking LDN I was a big chocoholic and since being on LDN I don't eat that much anymore and sometimes when I do eat it, it doesn't taste as good as it did before. > > Hugs & Blessings, > Crystal > LDN_Users Group Owner > > Diagnosed November 2004 with Secondary Progressive MS, Transverse Myelitis and an Advocate for LDN!! 2 years & 5 months on LDN with Skip's Pharmacy..... > > > Crystal's MS,TM & LDN Website > > Crystal's LDN Gift Shop > > Crystal's LDN Support Group > > Skip's Compounding Pharmacy > > LDN Website > > > > [low dose naltrexone] about chocolate > > > Have seen many times here that chocolate is an absolute no-no for ms.
