Guest guest
Hi, I have MS and have balancing issues along with numbness. I started LDN at the beginning of December. (I'm on 3mg) My foot that had neem numb for nearly 2 years has slowly lost the numbness. Balancing issues well I still have those but not as bad, I do have good and bad days with balance. Other things that have improved are I have more energy, improvment in bladder and bowel issues. Will I keep taking LDN??? YES YES YES I'm staying on 3mg which is what is recommended is you have muscle and spacticity issues. Hope that helps Sal > > I want to first thank everyone for having this group. Guest guest
I have lupus but it has affected my balance and I get numbness and tingling in limbs as well. It depends on the flare - sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't. My right calf seems pretty consistently affected and I get a lot of muscle twitching. A combination supplement with magnesium, calcium, vitamin d, and zinc did improve things greatly. I can feel the difference when I don't take it. It appears there is a bit of a malabsorption component. The supplement I take is Metabolic Maintenance Cal/Mag/Zinc (with vitamin D). I thought it might be worth mentioning. I also had an amino acid test done and will be supplementing (turned out being deficient in many of them). We'll see if that helps. Guest guest
Oh, and the LDN has helped a bit with the balance issue. I think absorption has gone up because I'm eating the same amount and gaining weight. Take care, Cami

Guest guest
LDN has helped my balance improve very much. When I first started at 3 mg and when I first raised the dose at 4.5 I had numbness at my legs when getting tired (revival of an old symptom). This problem gradually subsided and went away. Hope this helps. Best wishes Katerina [low dose naltrexone] LDN, BALANCE AND TINGLING I want to first thank everyone for having this group. It is very very informative and everyone on here is so incredible. With that said, I have Multiple Sclerosis and I have really bad balancing problems and numbness in my hands and feet.I have other problems (don't we all)but wanted to concentrate on the aforemention things. Guest guest
Hey Ramondo, I have MS - diagnosed 2003. I have numbness in hands & feet, stiffness in legs (mostly right one) and poor balance. I drag my right foot that contributes to my noticeable limp. I just started taking LDN about 3.5 weeks ago. I started at 1.5 for 1wk then 3.0 for 1 wk and now 4.5 for just over a week. At 3.0 I noticed a small improvement in my limp and numbness but I was only on 3.0 for 1 week. Since I've moved up to 4.5 I've noticed more stiffness and a little more sensation of numbness - the area hasn't increased but the sensation has. From what I understand - and anyone who has more experience will hopefully add more comments - this is 'normal' and Dr. Bihari suggests to try and 'stick it out' and work through the extra symptoms for at least a month or so because they sometimes get better after that. I am planning to stick it out for at least a few months so long as it remains bearable and I can still care for my little ones. I hope this helps. Good Luck ! > > I want to first thank everyone for having this group. It is very very > informative and everyone on here is so incredible.
