I think you can start back right away. You're not a sissy! You have to do what you are comfortable with. I would probably do them too if I were in your shoes!!! question has been asked but I dont remember the answer. How long after the IV solumedrol do I wait before starting my LDN again? I will be on IV solumedrol for 3 days at 1000mg a day. Thanks and sorry for being a sissy and for asking questions already answered.Amber

I didn't go back to taking ldn because I had problems with it. Maybe I was already weak but in 6 months on ldn I got much worse. If you do start taking ldn after the solumedrol I'd be interested in how you feel. I am in rehab right now and trying to get back my strength to where I was before.

I had alot of problems that I never experienced before (that's what worried me). I had really bad spasticity and that was what actually made me go into the hospital for the solumedrol treatment. I also had headaches, although that went away eventually. I had an upset stomach, so much so that my family dr. sent me for an xray and nothing showed up. Each time I stopped LDN it cleared up. I lost weight (about 6/7 kgs) because I lost my appetite. My fingers on both hands became numb. my feet became numb and my knees started to buckle in spite of the stiffness. my right eye started to droop and the right side of my nose felt strange- like I had a cold on one side and I kept rubbing it but there was nothing. This scared me because I had no problems waist up ever and so this was all new and extremely uncomfortable. strange thing though, I NEVER had sleep problems or strange dreams! I simply felt all round worse on LDN and was getting worse all the time, whether I increased the dose or reduced it.

Right now I am feeling so much better than I have in the last 3 months and am recuperating legs, hands and feet...I am sad LDN didn't work for me and I wish I knew why (maybe there were other issues influencing...??) but until I know more about what possibly went wrong, I will not try again. I'm too scared after what I went thru.

Hopefully it will work for you but if you keep feeling bad, maybe there's something in our systems that reacts to LDN differently...

wish you luck, Miki

Upon starting LDN I too experienced numbness in both hands for 3

weeks, got extra stiffness in claves of legs for 3 solid months, later

on extra fatigue, I had an eyelid that twitched on and off for 6

months, other muscles jumped like crazy, I had vivid dreams. All

these faded away as time passed. I believe all these adverse symptoms

I experienced was an awakening of previously non-working nerve

pathways. I didn't panic over the adverse symptoms.

Many have exprienced weightloss with LDN, naltrexone is being trialed

for weightloss.

I only had a headache and severe nausea when several months into

starting LDN I decided to switch my lactose capsule filler to Avicel

(cellulose) filler, big mistake, I was allergic so I switched back to

lactose. If I could have tolerated the Avicel I could have gotten my

LDN cheaper.

hi micki-

the one side effect of ldn I'd like , losing weight, isn't happening, figures. I asked the dr. to lower the dosage for me, hopefully he will because I feel terrible the last couple of weeks. I hope that will help because I really don't want to stop. thanks for the input, jackie
