Guest guest
Thank you Saundra! Wow, that's really heartening. I am considering it for Hashi's. Do you take THR w/ LDN? > > > > In general, what effect, if any does LDN have on mood? > > >
Guest guest
well, let's see... I lost my mother 2/04 and my friend wanted to know why I wasn't crying (yet, Ally McBeal shows can get me to cry?) In 2/06 I lost my wife and family, haven't shed a tear In 3/08 I lost my career, my marriage and career end on the same day next week. I go to my docs and they say "you don't need a-ds, LDN must really be helping you" [low dose naltrexone] Re: LDN & Mood > >> > In general, what effect, if any does LDN have on mood?> >>------------------------------------
Guest guest
Yes. Currently on 100mcg of synthroid. My labs should be ready tomorrow, which will show 27 days on LDN, and any change in thyroid hormone levels. But only after 27 days of LDN. I will retest in another 4 weeks or so. I have a feeling, according to how I feel, that my thyroid is releasing more hormone with the LDN than without and just the synthroid. I am very curious to find out. I have put off switching to Armour for just this fact. I want to know how LDN interacts with synthroid in someone with a partially working thyroid. I will then switch to Armour once I have significant labs to compare. That way I will know the effects of LDN on both Synthroid and Armour. Are you saying that you are NOT sad or incapable of feeling sad...because of taking LDN ?? The way you've described this concerns me.... Guest guest
Saundra, That's great! I'm excited to hear that you are doing so well. And I hope you will post about what you find out when your labs come back. I'm crossing my fingers my MD will give me a script for LDN - if not I may need to go it alone. Thank you so much for the replies. DD > > > > > > > > In general, what effect, if any does LDN have on mood? > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Oh, I don't know what it is... I more attribute it to Dr. Wayne Dyer's impact on my life, but LDN sure does help. A few months after I started LDN (4/03) I had noticed that I was 'returning to centered' a whole lot quicker than I used to. By 7 mos on it (11/03) some people thought I was having bi-polar swings. When someone upset me, I'd get angry, and then get over it, a lot quicker. Then in 2/04 when my mom died during open heart surgery, my friend was concerned because he didn't see me as miserable as he thought I should be. We had a long discussion about it and he said if I wasn't deluding myself, and I was honestly the way I was saying, he felt I was just lightyears ahead of anyone he'd ever known. The LDN may have helped a bit, but I think it's just the way I understood Dyer's teachings. When I was separated 2 years ago, Dyer came out with a new PBS seminar a month later that made a lot of sense to me. I found out a year later he had split with his wife, so the seminar DID make sense to me because he was talking from his separated point of view and it resonated with me. The LDN may have helped, sure, but I don't know if neurotic thoughts would turn to the visions I saw following those events that would bring most people to their knees. I did go through a tearful cleansing event in May/June 07 and could fill buckets with tears, but I don't think it was of misery, but relief of 14 months and 14 years issues being resolved and revealed at the same time. I'm just certifiably insane, who has a smile on their face after having a 25 yr marriage and 29 yr career end the same time?
