Guest guest
I saw an old post about work from a company called Pain Therapeutics. A Dr. Stanley Crain was interviewed about how even lower doses of naltrexone, smaller than 1 mg, may reduce opiate tolerance and dependence. The refer to it sometimes as ULDN or Ultra Low Dose Naltrexone. The company is testing a drug called Oxytrex that combines and opiate with an ultra low dose of naltrexone. I have a friend who might like to try LDN as used by this group for Fibromyalgia but has gotten such a high tolerance to opiates, she would need something to help her get off of them (she also has severe degeneration of her lower spine requiring pain medicine). Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had any newer information or suggestions as to where to look for more experiences on this subject. It appears that some are using this ultra low dose naltrexone to help get over heroin addiction. Of course, my friends case is different because she is taking it for severe back pain (has had 4 failed back surgeries). I have already seen this link: http://drgimbarzevsky.com/Naltrexone/Low_Dose_Naltrexone_Observations1 ..html Thanks, Joyce
