Guest guest
I am suing organic coconut oil and vanicream right now. It seems to help, but the diet changes are best. Leo
Guest guest
To prevent: We soak in warm water then apply dermarrest its good. if there is already a rash we use steroid cream called fluticasone it is a script. Son had an AWFUL eczema rash yesterday, told me his brother " shared " chocolate with him!!! he's covered in bumps all over his torso, thighs/knees, arms from shoulder to elbow. It's like sandpaper. I only put the dermarrest on him - going to use the steroid today if its still there. he had cradle crap real bad as a baby - the ped at the time, who wasn't so good, told us to soak him in baby oil. we did, and the scabs came off, he wasn't as itchy, but since she wasn't so good take it with a grain of salt. I'm not sure if baby oil is good or bad. --- <shellbyars@...> wrote: > Does anyone have any immediate treatments for eczema > in a six month > old? Topical? Guest guest
My son had eczema when he was young. We used Aquafor which is like jelly but it worked until we took the dairy out of my son's diet. Once we went dairy free the eczema was gone. He has been dairy free for over three years and hasn't broken out once since. =) > > Does anyone have any immediate treatments for eczema in a six month > old? Topical? Guest guest
My 2.5 y-o has bad eczema on his legs and lower back. The GFCF diet helped, but now I'm finding that taking enzymes is helping even more. Our pediatrician always gave me a strong cortisone cream for it when my son was a baby. Now he's on Elidel, but I think the child has to be at least 2 to use Elidel. I also like Cetaphil cream (not lotion) and actually now I'm using the recipe for the epsom salt cream, which seems to help. Oh, and fruit seem to cause a flare up in him, so I may try No-Phenol soon. Good luck! Chris
Guest guest
– Thanks for sharing your food allergy story. So interesting and so hope that is my nt son. I would love to see him eat more foods. A few things to share with you. My guy allergic to peanuts and soy, we thought he was ok with like green beans and peas, well, he’s not. Just watch out. All beans, soy, are part of the legume family. Not all testing is 100% accurate either. Just a heads up there for ya! Our first ana reaction, peas! Eczema – we had issues as a baby on breast milk even. I can honestly say, not one spot of eczema for years. If we do see any scratching or itching, there is no doubt in my mind it is 100% food related. My dad let him eat a snickers bar, nice hey, this past halloween. Boy did we see the hives and scatching, no eczema after, surprised. So just a thought there too. Welcome and I so hope my son can eat more soon. I’m going to get up to full doses of enzymes and then start with dairy first! Thanks Tammy RE: eczema treatment for 6 month old? My 2.5 y-o has bad eczema on his legs and lower back. Guest guest
For our 1 year old, we wash with cetaphil and then put on eucerin cream. This has kept it at bay. But his facial eczema only really got better when we added probiotics and cod liver oil. He still has it on his lower legs, and a big slathering of eucerin under pants before bed keeps it OK. We have been gluten-free, casein-free and soy-free, becuase our older child is, but with our 1 year old there have been minor infractions from time to time. Our new integrated pediatrician said we should be strict with the diet and also eliminate eggs for 2-3 weeks and see if it helps. Guest guest
You can do Bioset or NAET to eliminate and clear allergies/intolerances. We see Dr. Harry Hong to do this but I am learning some on my own as we go. My son has an IgE allergy to eggs, and we resolved it with Dr. hong in 48 hours! He now eats eggs with no worry!...and a slueth of other things. Just my two cents again! about how wonderful this protocal can be. I had purchased every cream known to man before this with no relief until we resolved the issue inside.
