Guest guest
We got our son over his swine flu quickly with high doses of oil of oregano...We use Oreganol brand p73 form in gel caps...4 capsules every four hours while awake for two days and then two caps three times per day for four more days. Use 5000uis of vitamin D3 too. Absolutely no milk, or wheat while sick or sugar. He literally ate homemade chicken soup and green apples for two days. Take a good omega 3 supplement too. 5000 UI s of Vitamin D3 and daily oil of oregano works to keep your child from getting swine flu too. Our eldest son was the only one who got sick. He confessed that he was not taking his vitamins and was eating sometimes in the cafeteria. We eat all organic at home and a whole foods diet at home. This has worked well for a few people I know with swine flu. Good luck. We use this brand http://www.amazon.com/SuperStrength-Oreganol-P73-60-gelcaps/dp/B000CL4JJ0 If you have drops, it takes 24 drops at a time every four hours...you can put it in an emptied enzyme capsule to make sure it gets to your stomach...you can use some straight up for a throat rinse if your throat is sore. Good luck Nickerson OLE for H1N1 We've been fighting swine flu for 6 days and I am the sickest of all, with a lot phlegm in my chest. I'd like to try Olive Leaf Extract, What is the dosage for an adult? We have dropper not tablets. Also can I give it as a preventive for my 5 year old PDD son? What is the dosage for a 45 lb child? So far my boy has not come down with symptoms, but I am terrified because a few weeks ago I refused the vaccine for him thanks, Daisy
Guest guest
I just received an e-mail from a home birth doctor that I love. She warned about taking large doses of D for the swine flu. She stated that there is no research that says it helps and it could actually hurt the organs when really high doses are given daily. She is someone that I have worked with a lot and even had the privilege of attending her home birth as her doula. This is the first warning that I have heard from her. She is not one of those that sends out e-mails or even has a blog. She was just worried enough to e-mail the Chicago doulas on our list and encourage our clients to use caution. I know that she is very into natural meds, so this is not a random warning. Tama Mom to C-ACC age 10 and 3 more kiddos
Guest guest
Yes, that would be great, but no help for a little one that cannot swallow capsules, and it tastes horrible, they won't drink it... So how else is there to get it in them. WE have tried teaching her to swallow capsules, now 6, both my 9yr old and she have bad gag reflux, and my 9 yr old just learned how 3 months ago. NOt always an easy task for some....But the older ones here will be taking it for sure...thanks for the reminder... Guest guest
A good trick I learned to do when taking something that tastes nasty is to hold your nose while drinking. It really helps. Guest guest
What does she consider a high dose? What dosage does she recommend? how much per age? I wonder about this myself. Guest guest
You could try applying the oil of oregano topically. There is a kid e care formula by North American Herb - it can be taken orally or applied topically. Or you could find a high quality Oregano essential oil and massage that onto feet. Just some other options. Lori > > Yes, that would be great, but no help for a little one that cannot swallow > capsules, and it tastes horrible, they won't drink it... I'd like to try Olive Leaf Extract, What is the dosage for an adult? We have dropper not tablets. I used capsules and started with 250mg. Vitamin D is good for swine flu. I give my kids lower doses than most people recommend, 200 IU for some and as much as 2000 IU for others, not higher than that. We have not been sick AT ALL for the last 6 months. Guest guest
Hi. I think olive leaf is quite effective, although it is also a potent antifungal, so if you have any underlying yeast issues, you may get sicker from the die-off. I find propolis to be very effective in getting rid of colds/flu viruses, as well as Grapefruit Seed Extract nasal spray. I don't have any die-off with propolis. Propolis is in liquid tincture, but it tastes pretty bad. Maybe in veg glycerine base it would taste better. > > We've been fighting swine flu for 6 days and I am the sickest of all, with a lot phlegm in my chest.
