Guest guest
I'd check with my doctor before using it internally or externally -- what's very safe for others may not be for us. Tea tree oil is taken internally by some for some purposes, but maybe it wouldn't be good for us. Here's a quote I found on line. I can give you the reference if you want it. Not that it mentions the oil being absorbed through the skin -- that's what worries me a little, even though it says it's non-toxic. Something can be organic and still be very damaging for liver patients. Check with your doctor -- just in case. Harper " Tea tree oil is an antiseptic and generally not taken internally. Some evidence has suggested mild organ damage from internal use. The oil when absorbed through the skin is non-toxic. Tea tree oil is most often recommended for exposed surfaces of the body such as the skin tissue and the mucous membranes. It should be noted that the original Australian aborigines made tea from the leaves without adverse affects. And the early settlers followed their exam - ple with positive results. But the tea was a very diluted form and the distilled oil is much stronger. Guest guest
Exactly Harper, many oils are toxic, and ALL of the oils must be used in tiny tiny amounts.....one drop will work just fine! As for taking them internally, that is something I have done only once. Most have a terrible taste, and I don't know HOW anyone can take a drop or two! YUCK! As always, as Harpter says, check with your doctor before doing anything.....it is not worth risking the liver! Guest guest
Ian Gosh, I feel for you....my mother came to stay with us and on her very last day after 5 weeks, my husband, kids and I developed the first of the innitial rash. As the nightmare unfolded I kept thinking about my mother, and how I would have felt if she would have caught this (she used permethrin from the doc, and tea tree oil before she had symtoms and never did get this) Where do your parents live? Could you move in with them and help them fight? I dont know of any cleaning service that would understand how you need to clean for this.... So onto the tea tree oil....I did use it full body a few times and it was the only thing to dry and heal the weird rashes that we were getting at the start. I've also seen a recommended enviromental spray that contains tto, baking soda, epsome salts and a few other things.....anyway I am from New Zealand and our neighbors in Aussie use TTO ALOT for the treatment of scabies... (NB I did burn my self using straight TTO, so you are smart mixing it with lotion) Just so you know, Rays parents, and his sister and her dog, also caught this from his house....they all got over it..... you guys will too z > > Hi everyone. Guest guest
Hi charise I have used tea tree oil for many years & it's wonderful stuff so thanks Bee for the clarification. I put 2-3 drops in a cup of water & rinse my privates & it stops the itch of a bad yeast infection. Great for mosquito bites too & any kind of sores to help heal. Even if you itch it isn't a problem since itching is caused by toxins coming out through the skin. That's why any immediate reaction that occurs when you apply tea tree oil quickly subsides. You can apply it to your ingrown toenails too. Please remember that while other people have very good intentions, their advice isn't always accurate. Cheers, Bee
Guest guest
Bee, I am sorry I miswrote.. I AM itching like crazy!!! This morning I am not sure what happened but I had an intense reaction where I thought I was having a heart attack. My ear went numb, my left arm went numb and I had nausea. Lucky for me I have already had a heart work up or I would have went to the ER.It was just that bad. No more tea tree oil for me. I am still itching in my genital area, my back and everywhere. I also have not had a BM for 3 days. That is probaly part of the problem also. You mentioned that any reaction that I had from tea tree oil should immediately subside? Thanks Phyllis > I put a drop of tea tree oil on the bottom of my feet and I am not > > itching like crazy. I do have grown toe nails. Do you think this is > die > > off? I understand how awful the itching can be; it can drive a person crazy. > This morning I am not sure what happened but I had an intense > reaction where I thought I was having a heart attack. Of course you will get healing/die-off reactions to any antifungals. +++All except your BM problems are definitely die-off symptoms, including your racing heart. You shouldn't apply tea tree oil to your genitals; it is too strong for such sensitive areas. I understood you were using it only on your nails. +++See this for skin and itching treatments: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/treat14.php +++Your BM problems can be caused by 2 different things: 1) Changing over to this diet too fast can cause it, as described in " Curing Candida, How to Get Started " - you might need to backtrack, adding some carbs back, until you are able to increase your " good fats " enough: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php 2) If you've ever been constipated in the past your body will " retrace " such episodes during natural healing, which is according to Hering's Law of Cures: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu1_1_2.php +++Also here's some constipation treatments: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/dig1.php The best in health, Bee
Guest guest
In one of the articles Bee mentions she says to use coconut oil on the itching. It has helped me a lot. I do have to reapply it frequently but it has made the itching subside quite a bit. Hope you find relief. Jammie > > > > Bee, I am sorry I miswrote.. I AM itching like crazy!!!
